While visiting New Jersey this past week, I happened upon the National Police Unity Tour cyclists riding in memory of fallen officers to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. for National Police Week. Since I do photography work for Behind the Badge Foundation in Washington State throughout each year, this was an amazing moment that I would call a “divine appointment”. It was very meaningful for me to watch the riders board the ferry and to spend that hour with them across the Delaware Bay. An added blessing, was seeing my friend, Brian Johnston, from Behind the Badge Foundation in sea of blue waiting for the next ferry. “Wheels Up!” and thank you to these officers who put their lives on the line daily for all of us and to their families who share them with the public.
